BIGFOOT: (only in McCurtain County)

All bigfoots, male, female, and babies are considered rare and protected species. Bigfoot sighting expeditions require no licenses, tags, or fees. You may photograph as many Bigfoots as you can find. Under no circumstance is a Bigfoot to be killed, maimed, or harassed. Adults and children of all ages are encouraged to explore the forests and streams in search of the Beavers Bend Bigfoot in McCurtain County. Photographs should be submitted to the Hochatown Tourist or McCurtain Gazette.

DEER SEASONS: The archery deer season runs from Oct 1 through Jan 15.

The muzzleloading season opens on the fourth Saturday in October and runs for nine days. The deer gun season opens the Saturday before Thanksgiving and runs for 16 days.
